By combining nurture and know-how, our experienced head counselors give campers age K - 1st grade a magical camp experience! Our junior camp programs are grounded in the values of inclusion, friendship, teamwork, support, and good sportsmanship. Their curriculums carefully balance familiar activities, like story time and music circle, and new ones to best support social, emotional, and physical growth. Our Junior Camp Leadership Team is eager to help our early elementary age campers love their camp experience and enjoy what can be a childhood-long summer tradition!
Each group, of no more than 12 campers, is led by experienced Head Counselors specializing in early education. We maintain a 1-to-5 counselor-to-camper ratio throughout the day. Small camper groups ensure that all campers receive individual attention which helps them make connections with their peers and counselors.
Minors have preset schedules that are designed to encourage the development of teamwork and social skills while having fun and exploring new activities. Schedules alternate between passive and active activities to ensure campers have the energy needed to be successful at camp.
We multiply the camp options for Minors to support their growing curiosity and give them greater opportunities to explore! In addition to our general camp, your camper can choose from full day camps such as Mini Bots, All-Star Sports, Dance Bop, and more.
For children who will be entering Kindergarten in the fall, camp offers the opportunity to become more independent in a nurturing and supportive environment. Campers will grow in their abilities to follow routines and directions, and develop their fine and gross motor skills. Additionally, campers will have plenty of time to work on socializing with their same aged peers, some of whom might become classmates in the future!
