Explorers (3 Years - 1st Grade)

Explorers Campers enjoy a full day of camp from 9am - 4pm daily.

Our youngest campers travel with their Head Counselors and assigned teams of assistants throughout the day. Camper groups move together from activity to activity to help foster safety and continuity. Due to our carefully maintained 5-to-1 camper to counselor ratio, each camper receives the individual attention he/she needs to succeed within the group and have a truly memorable camp experience. Campers are always divided into age appropriate groups.

Typical Day

Days at LINX Camps are spent laughing and learning with friends! Explorers Camp includes four traditional camp activity periods, a lunch period, and a swim period (including SWIM instruction and free swim)*. Explorers have the opportunity to interact with other camp friends during junior opening and closing ceremonies and lunch.

Sessions are packed with arts and crafts, sports, games, team building and more. Every day is unique as campers rotate from activity to activity to develop skills through non-competitive play. Choose multiple sessions to help with continuity and social development.

Swim available during the weeks we are at Dana Hall. For weeks we are at the Connors Center, we substitute swim with water games!

Mix It Up!

Many campers choose Explorers Camp for multiple sessions. Fun Bunch is the Half Day option for this age group.

Minors (K - 1st Grade) may compliment general camp (Explorers) with a week in another program - take a look at LINX Specialty Camps and LINX Sports Camps.

[My son] had a great day at camp today and was so happy. I want to thank you and the counselors for doing a great job in making him feel included and special today. Among the things he said, 1. [My counselor] loves me so much. It's like I'm her best friend. 2. I am a famous person at camp. Again, thank you! I was going to give up on trying to get him to camp and I am glad it is going well. I commend Linx for this level of service and have even more confidence in the program.

[T]hank you again for the interest you showed in [my son] during his time at LINX. He is STILL talking about all of the cool games and activities he was able to participate in! And I must have heard about a hundred times "Mommy, Cornbread was SO mad that he got the jabamala again!" I am sorry we didn't sign him up for additional weeks but [...] I was hesitant to over-commit. I know [my son] is looking forward to [...] next year!!

This was our very first week at Linx, or at any camp for that matter, and it could not have gone better. [Our son] cannot wait for monday to come! At pick up on Thursday, when I pulled up in the car, [he] immediately asked if he was going to camp next week. In the car, [he] said that [his] counselor really wanted him to be at camp next week. This was just phenomenal, to make him feel as if he would be missed. Thank you!
