LINX SUMMER CAMP NOW OFFERS BUS TRANSPORTATION

WELLESLEY, MA - LINX Summer Camp announced that they will be offering bus transportation for campers in 14 surrounding towns during their 2010 summer season.  The decision came after LINX reported tremendous demand for busing from families who wanted to take advantage of the LINX Summer Camp at Elm Bank but found getting there difficult.

LINX Summer Camp will be assigning each bus a staff member to monitor children, oversee their safety, and ensure that each camper is delivered to the appropriate stop each day.  Using LINX proprietary technology, each staff member will be able to track attendance and schedules in real time.  Camp Executive Director Josh Schiering is certain that his staff will be up to the challenge, and be able to make the ride a fun extension of camp.  “So much of our year-round effort centers around accountability and keeping children safe.  Our state-of-the-art software applications, coupled with our trained staff team, made adding transportation an easy decision.”

Bus rides will range from 10 to 45 minutes depending on the location of pick up.  The new service will be accessible for families in Brookline, Chestnut Hill, Dover, Medfield, Natick, Needham, Newton, Sherborn, Natick, Sudbury, Wayland, Wellesley and Weston.  The addition of the buses is just one of several new changes that the camp is making this year.

LINX Summer Camp offers 10 one-week sessions that begin June 21, 2010 and run through August 27, 2010.  In addition, LINX will offer 3 pre-camp weeks at its Linden Street location.  Campers can choose between the General Camp, which gives children a variety of camp activities each week, or one of 6 Specialty Camps and 5 Sports Camps which focus on a particular area of interest while also adding some camp favorites to the campers’ schedules.
