Things to Know about Camp
THINGS TO KNOW
DROP-OFF
Please plan to arrive in your AD drop-off line between 8:45AM and 9:00AM. All campers will meet together each morning in the Picnic Grove for Opening Ceremonies. Walk-ins are not permitted until after 9:30 for the safety of all campers and to allow for a smooth flow of traffic.
If you need to drop-off prior to 9:00, please contact the Camp Office at (781) 235-3210 to make arrangements (8:00 drop-off is available at a per week fee of $75).
WEEKLY SCHEDULES
Parents receive web access to view their child's weekly schedule. Each week consists of a variety of fun and enriching games and activities led by our experienced LINX Leaders. Campers who are in Specialty and Sports Camps spend 3 periods each day within their specialty/sport. The remainder of their activity periods include lunch, swimming and a period of archery, boating, fishing or another traditional camp activity.
LUNCH and SNACKS
All full-day campers (9-4) must arrive each day with lunch unless they are on the LINX Lunch Box plan. To minimize garbage build-up, we request that you use a soft-shelled lunch box. All campers will receive a morning snack (provided by camp). Snacks will include pretzels, goldfish crackers, etc. LINX does not allow peanuts to be brought to or served at camp.
PEANUT ALLERGY ALERT
For the safety of campers and staff, our entire lunch menu and all snack items are peanut safe. We do not serve peanut butter or food products containing peanuts. We ask that all campers respect this safety concern by leaving any food containing nuts or nut products at home.
PICK-UP
Half-day campers (9:00 - 1:00): Parents should plan to arrive in the car line at 1:00. You should have already received your pick-up card at your PCO, but can print more here. Please be sure this card is on display during pick-up.
Full-day campers (9:00 - 4:00): Parents should arrive in the car line at 4:00 (you are able to arrive no earlier than 3:50). You should have already received your pick-up card at your PCO, but can print more here. Please be sure this card is on display during pick-up.
OPEN VISITATION
Parents are invited to visit their child while at camp throughout the summer. Parents should park in the main parking lot near the camp office. All parents are then required to sign in at the Camp Office where they will receive a visitor tag to wear while on the property. Though Counselors will not be available to talk with you while working with their group, they can be available at the end of the camp day. You can always call in any questions and speak with an administrator. Any parents who want to take their child directly from camp are required to first sign-out at the camp office.
HEALTH CENTER AND MEDICATIONS
The LINX Camps Health Center is located at the Camp Office. LINX Camps employs a full time Registered Nurse and also provides 2 remote first aid stations. The Health Center is fully stocked with all required first aid supplies. All camper medicines are required to go through the Health Center. Please do not send your child to camp with any medicines - hand them directly to the Nurse, the Bus Captain or your AD Captain. Dr. William Wirth of Mill Brooke Pediatrics serves as the LINX Camps Health Care Consultant.
ADDING SESSIONS
Campers are always welcome to extend their LINX Camps experience by adding a session of camp - subject to availability. To add a session, please call the office at (781) 235-3210.
MASS HORT MEMBERSHIP
All camp families will become annual members of the Massachusetts Horticultural Society, compliments of LINX, as part of your camp tuition. Your contact information will be forwarded to their membership coordinator so they can pass along all pertinent information.
