LINX SUMMER CAMP ANNOUNCES SWIMMING FOR 2010
WELLESLEY, MA - LINX Summer Camp announced the addition of a swimming pool at its Elm Bank Reservation location in Wellesley. The addition will allow the camp to offer daily free swim and lessons to campers throughout the 2010 summer season.
The LINX executive team worked closely with the Massachusetts Horticultural Society's Board of Trustees to make adding a pool to the grounds a reality. Mass Hort received approval from the Massachusetts Historical Commission in October. The pool will be added to the grounds in the spring of 2010 in preparation for the camp season.
“After a terrific first year at Elm Bank last summer, we asked parents what they wanted added for Summer 2010. The addition of a pool was on the top of the list, given all the other important pieces were already in place,” shared Joe Kahn, President of LINX. Josh Schiering, the new LINX Summer Camp Executive Director shared: “Parents have come to trust the LINX name and staff. They are comforted in knowing our full-time, year-round expert instructors are the ones leading the programs in the summer. We expect 2010 to be a very exciting year at LINX Summer Camp.”
LINX Summer Camp offers 10 one-week sessions that begin June 21, 2010 and run through August 27, 2010. In addition, LINX will offer 3 pre-camp weeks at its Linden Street location. The campers can choose between the General Camp, which gives children a variety of camp activities each week, or one of 6 Specialty Camps and 5 Sports Camps which focus on a particular area of interest while also adding some camp favorites to the campers’ schedules.
