Outward Adventures Camp (2nd-3rd)
We're talking heart pumping camp survival skills education!
A curriculum designed and developed by a former Marine Captain and veteran camp counselors takes Outward Adventures to the extreme! This program is perfect for boy scouts, girls scouts or children who simply love the outdoors and adventure!
Adventures include tackling the 32 foot indoor rock wall, setting up a base camp in extreme weather conditions as campers are blasted with water and air cannons to simulate hurricane conditions, fire making, GPS navigation, map and compass orienteering, hiking and wilderness survival skills. Campers also learn how to set snare trap to capture your next meal and how to keep supplies from unwanted intruders.
Camouflage Day is a big favorite when campers study the art of camouflage and hide in their man-made forts hoping to surprise another group of campers.
This camp is based out of the LINX Camps Dana Hall Campus, but uses the amenities at Mass Hort Elm Bank as well! Outward Adventure campers learn canoeing, fishing and archery skills too!
Equipment Needed: Hiking shoes, and a thirst for the outdoors! No prior outdoor experience necessary.
Daily swim is provided with lessons and free swim.
Snack is provided to all campers during 2nd period and an end of the day snack is also included.
Hours: 9 - 4PM with early drop off and extended day available. A LINX Lunch Plan is also available along with other extras.
