LINX Gardening & Nature Camp*
Overview
Our Gardening & Nature Campers roll up their sleeves and get into the dirt!
The Mass Hort Elm Bank Reservation is known for it's gardens and trails, particularly Weezie's Garden - the teaching garden for children! Gardening & Nature Campers learn how to care for plants, make garden beds and build a greenhouse among other fun projects. Children learn through hands on exploration as tree and plant identification techniques are incorporated into fun and creative craft projects.
Master Gardeners and Mass Hort Members join us throughout the summer to train campers on the skills needed to become confident Horticulturalists.
Typical Day
Days at LINX Camps are typically spent laughing and learning with friends! Gardening & Nature Camp includes three daily specialty intensives, a lunch period, a swim period (including Red Cross Certified swim instruction), and a bonus camp activity period.
While Gardening Campers are immersed in specialty sessions for half the day, they also have the opportunity to interact with non-gardening camp friends during opening and closing ceremonies, as well as lunch. Our popular camp-wide activities help us to build a sense of camp community.
Mix It Up!
Gardening & Nature Camp has limited availability. Compliment a week of Gardening & Nature Camp with a week in another LINX Specialty Camp, LINX Sports Camp or one of our LINX General Camps. Experience all LINX Camps has to offer!
